Itinerary
Your holiday begins with a warm welcome as you join the coach at your allocated pick-up point and meet your friendly driver and fellow travellers. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic journey north to the Scottish Highlands, making comfort stops en route for refreshments and leg stretches.
You’ll arrive at the Coylumbridge Resort in Aviemore, your base for the next four nights, where you can settle in, enjoy dinner, and perhaps unwind in the hotel’s leisure facilities or bar.
After breakfast, we depart for a full-day coach excursion to Inverness and Loch Ness.
We travel through spectacular Highland scenery to Loch Ness, Scotland’s most famous loch, where myth and mystery surround the legend of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. There’s time to enjoy the views and perhaps browse the visitor centres and shops in Drumnadrochit or take a stroll along the lochside.
Continuing onward, we arrive in Inverness, the charming capital of the Highlands. Explore its riverside setting, historic castle viewpoint, and vibrant city centre filled with independent shops, cafés, and Scottish charm.
Return to your hotel for your evening meal and a relaxed evening at leisure.
After a hearty breakfast, we head into the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
Our morning begins with a visit to the Cairngorm Mountain area, where the rugged landscape, ancient pine forests, and breathtaking vistas showcase the very best of the Highlands. You may wish to take the Cairngorm Funicular Railway (admission not included) for panoramic views over the park and beyond.
Later, we continue to the nearby Highland Wildlife Park, home to native species such as red deer, wildcats, and Scottish wildcats, as well as animals from similar cold climates, including polar bears and snow leopards.
After an inspiring day surrounded by nature, we return to the hotel in time for dinner.
Following breakfast, enjoy a leisurely coach excursion exploring Speyside, renowned worldwide as the home of Scotland’s whisky distilleries and stunning river valley scenery.
We travel through picturesque Grantown-on-Spey, a charming Highland town filled with character and history, where you’ll have free time to explore its local shops and cafés.
Then, we continue along scenic routes through the Spey Valley, with its rolling hills, pine forests, and sparkling rivers — a truly authentic taste of Highland life.
Return to Aviemore for your final evening meal and a chance to reminisce about your holiday with newfound friends.
After breakfast, we bid farewell to the Highlands and begin our return journey home, making comfort stops en route. Relax and enjoy the last views of the beautiful Scottish countryside as we make our way back to your original pick-up points.
