Itineary
Day 01 :
Travel to France (Overnight Stop)
- Pick-up: Early morning from your allocated South Yorkshire pick-up point. The coach will work its way south, picking up passengers en route toward Dover.
- Travel to Dover: Approximate journey time from South Yorkshire to Dover: 4–5 hours, with a comfort stop every 4.5 hours for at least 45 minutes.
- Ferry Crossing: Board the ferry to Calais. Ferry crossing time: approx. 1.5–2 hours. New drivers meet the coach before boarding for the onward journey. During the crossing, passengers can enjoy the ferry’s facilities, including cafés, seating lounges, and shopping areas.
- Travel to Overnight Hotel: After disembarking in Calais, continue journey to selected overnight hotel in France. Approximate driving time: 1–2 hours.
- Accommodation: Overnight stay on bed and continental breakfast basis. Meals at motorway services are not included.
Day 02 :
Travel to Roses, Spain
- Departure: After breakfast, depart hotel for Roses, Costa Brava.
- Travel Time: Approx. 10–11 hours, including comfort stops every 4.5 hours for at least 45 minutes.
- Accommodation: Check-in at Sant Marks Hotel, Roses on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 03 :
Leisure Day in Roses
- Enjoy a full day at your own pace. Suggestions include:
- Strolling along the Roses promenade and beachside
- Shopping in local boutiques and markets
- Bars and cafés along the waterfront
- Boat rides along the bay to admire the coastline
- Leisurely dining at local restaurants (optional)
Day 04 :
Excursion to Girona
- After Breakfast: Depart for Girona (approx. 1 hour by coach).
- Suggested Visits at Own Pace:
- Girona Cathedral and historic Old Town
- Jewish Quarter and its narrow cobbled streets
- Arab Baths and museum visits
- Riverside walk along the Onyar River
- Return to Roses: Spend 4–5 hours exploring Girona; return to Roses in the late afternoon.
Day 05 :
Leisure Day in Roses
- Another day to relax or explore at your leisure:
- Visit the Cala Montjoi area for gentle coastal walks
- Explore local artisan shops and markets
- Enjoy a sunset walk along the beach
- Optional coffee or tapas at seaside bars
Day 06 :
Excursion to Empuriabrava
- After Breakfast: Depart for Empuriabrava (approx. 25 minutes by coach).
- Suggested Visits at Own Pace:
- Stroll along the largest residential marina in Europe
- Take a leisure boat ride through the canals
- Explore local shops and cafés along the waterfront
- Duration: Spend 3–4 hours in Empuriabrava before returning to Roses.
Day 07 :
Excursion to Cadaqués
- After Breakfast: Depart for Cadaqués (approx. 1 hour by coach).
- Suggested Visits:
- Wander through the whitewashed streets and local art galleries
- Visit the Salvador Dalí House-Museum (optional entry)
- Enjoy a coffee or light meal overlooking the Mediterranean
- Duration: 4–5 hours exploring Cadaqués, then return to Roses in the afternoon.
Day 08 :
Leisure Day in Roses
- Final full day in Roses for relaxation and exploration:
- Shopping for souvenirs in local markets
- Walk along Platja de Canyelles or Platja de Santa Margarida
- Optional local tapas tasting at small bars
- Leisurely evening promenade walk before dinner

Travel to France (Overnight Stop)
- After Breakfast: Depart Roses for overnight hotel in France.

Return Home
