Itinerary
Depart from your allocated pick-up point and meet your friendly and professional driver who will ensure a comfortable journey throughout your holiday. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive as we travel through some of England’s most charming countryside en route to the beautiful Yorkshire coast. Upon arrival in Scarborough, we’ll check in at the Grand Hotel, your base for the next two nights.
This evening, enjoy your buffet-style evening meal in the hotel’s grand dining room and perhaps take a leisurely stroll along Scarborough’s seafront promenade to round off the day.
After a hearty buffet breakfast, the day is yours to explore the delights of Scarborough, one of Britain’s most beloved seaside resorts.
Why not visit:
- Scarborough Castle – a dramatic medieval fortress offering panoramic views across the bay.
- Peasholm Park – an oriental-themed park with tranquil boating lakes, gardens, and the famous naval battle re-enactments (seasonal).
- SEA LIFE Scarborough – discover marine life from around the world (admission extra).
- South Bay Beach – enjoy traditional seaside fun with donkey rides, amusements, and local fish & chips.
- Scarborough Spa – a historic entertainment complex hosting live shows and tea dances.
Spend the day at your own pace, soaking in the nostalgic seaside atmosphere. Return to the hotel for your evening meal and perhaps a drink in the hotel bar overlooking the twinkling seafront lights.
Following breakfast, we’ll depart the hotel (with your luggage) and make our way along the stunning Yorkshire coastline to Whitby, home of the world-famous Whitby Regatta.
Enjoy the festivities at your leisure — the regatta offers a lively mix of boat races, parades, live entertainment, and a spectacular firework display (subject to timing). Explore the charming harbour town with its cobbled streets, quirky shops, and the iconic 199 steps leading to Whitby Abbey, inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Take in the atmosphere and coastal views before we depart from Whitby at 16:00 hrs for the journey home.
